Acquaint Space small group classes provide an opportunity to share your yoga practice with like-minded souls while receiving plenty of individual care and attention.

Yoga for Pregnancy

  • Saturdays 4:30 – 5:45pm from 27 July 2019 (weekly during school terms)
  • Yoga Shala – Suite 10 / 22 Haynes Street, Kalamunda
  • 5 classes for $90

Mama & Baby Yoga

  • Wednesdays 12 – 1pm (weekly during school terms)
  • Yoga Shala – Suite 10 / 22 Haynes Street, Kalamunda
  • 5 classes for $80

Yoga for Mothers

  • Wednesdays 1:15 – 2:30pm (fortnightly during school terms)
  • Yoga Shala – Suite 10 / 22 Haynes Street, Kalamunda
  • $15 casual or 5 classes for $70
  • Drops in welcome – check Facebook for dates

Slow, Gentle, Restorative Yoga

  • No classes currently scheduled

Please note that classes must be prepaid in five week blocks (unless a casual rate is specified).

Class Descriptions

Yoga for Pregnancy classes provide an opportunity to be present with your growing baby, restore your precious energy, gently move your body to prepare for birth and develop a mindfulness practice to support you throughout motherhood.

Yoga for Pregnancy classes include:

  • prenatal yoga (gentle yoga to release tension and prepare your body for birth)
  • mindfulness practices (release stress and prepare yourself for motherhood)
  • an opportunity to build your village and share your motherhood
  • suitable from approximately 12 weeks until term (subject to your caregiver’s approval in relation to any risks, conditions or complications)

Mama & Baby Yoga classes provide a safe and welcoming space to explore postnatal movement with your baby by your side (or in your arms) and in community with other new mamas.   Feel nourished, nurtured and supported to mother with peace and joy.

Mama & Baby Yoga classes include:

  • postnatal yoga (gentle yoga to find strength, balance and comfort in your body)
  • mindfulness practices (release stress, find balance and be present with your baby)
  • an opportunity to build your village and share your motherhood
  • suitable from approximately six to eight weeks postpartum (subject to your caregiver’s approval) until your baby is independently mobile (i.e. crawling proficiently – generally around 8-10 months)

Yoga for Mothers classes provide an opportunity to gently move and stretch your body, focus your attention inward and steady yourself before the rush of school pick-ups.

Yoga for Mothers classes include:

  • gentle flowing yoga
  • simple breath practices
  • children welcome to potter around you while you do yoga (although if you have a little baby, Mama & Baby will be a more suitable option for you)

Slow, Gentle, Restorative Yoga classes provide an opportunity to move your body with awareness and kindness.  You know your body best so you are encouraged to work within your limitations, while gently expanding your confidence and comfort in your body by releasing any tension and learning to move freely.

Slow, Gentle, Restorative Yoga classes include:

  • a mixture of very gentle flowing yoga postures and passive restorative postures (mobilise your body, release tension, find freedom of movement and restore your energy)
  • mindfulness practices (release stress, find your centre and be present)
  • suitable for women of all ages and stages (however please note that much of the class will involve sitting or lying on the floor)
